My passion for IT, technology and computers initially was triggered when I got my very first computer, a Commodore 64, "some few" years back, i.e. basically quite a while before the Internet as we know it today started to become ubiquitous. Based on M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, I spent quite some time in different corporate roles with larger organizations (engineering, different management roles, corporate development) - always in technology and IT domains. In addition, coming from a family where basically everyone - from parents over in-laws to siblings and other close relatives - is or was running their own Small Business, I have always had highest esteem and appreciation for entrepreneurs starting, running and growing their (Small) Business. Combining all this with Small Businesses being clearly under-served when it comes to appropriate IT support, I founded SmallBiz IT providing my extensive IT and technology background and experience to small businesses in the vicinity of my hometown, Novi, MI.
